All volunteers get into the dance and beginner lesson for free the night of their shift. Volunteers for Tuesday Blues will also receive $2 off the monthly Intermediate Series lesson the night of their shift, should they choose to participate and pay for the remainder of the lesson cost. Once logged in, click on the "You" tab towards the top of your screen, then "Contact Information". We need at least your phone number to contact you, and only the PB&J Operations team will be able to see your personal information.
- Door Shift: 45 minute shift. Working ticketing at the door, taking cash, credit cards, and punch cards, selling punch cards, recording all sales on our iPad, and dancing with 2 new people in need of a partner that night.
- Floater Shift: 2 1/4 hour shift. You’ll potentially fill in at for the Door Shift as needed, help us set up the venue, change the lighting during announcements, or other needs as they arise during the event. The duties for this position varies and can range from more work to no work at all. This volunteer should also be dancing with 2 new people in need of a partner that night.
- Clean-up Shift: 20-45 minute shift. Help our main Closer clean up the venue, pick up cups, sweep floors, pick up trash, and dancing with 2 new people in need of a partner that night. The cleaning help is as-needed by the main Closer, and this shift begins at 12am.
- Set-up Shift (Barefoot Only): 1 hour shift. Set up the table for the front door, make sure lights are on, work the Door Shift as people arrive, and dancing with 2 new people in need of a partner that night.
We expect all volunteers to show up on time for their shifts. Prior notice needs to be given if you are going to be late or cannot make your shift for any reason.
